ABOUT ME (ALICY)

I was born two nights before the Christmas in the year of our Lord 1782. For many years, I lived the dutiful life I was expected to live, and I lived it with few cares (save those of most Londoners) and with no secrets (save those of most women) until my thirty-first year.

It's quite the story! At least it will be when it's finished. When Jacqui has threaded the words, I'll fold and sew the pages, then bind the book myself - as any daughter of a master bookbinder ought do - and you will be among the first to know everything ABOUT ME (ALICY).
